Climate Scam and Forest Fires

I have been getting questions about this and it is all the rage. The media has been full of news about the Canadian wild fires and they blame it on climate change. Nothing could be further from the truth because the real evidence shows other wise. Historically in Canada, about 60% of forest fires are started by humans, usually carelessness. The next leading cause is lightning and I have actually witnessed this myself about 25 years ago where I saw lightning strikes start 3 or 4 fires in Northern Ontario. When on holidays in Alaska, I saw smoke from fires block out the sun and drove past vast amounts of charred forest. A good friend from when I was in my 20s fought forest fires. I am just saying I have some insights and what is happening this year is very strange and different. I am not a forest fire expert but know how to analyze the data.
The weather conditions this spring in many parts of Canada were perfect to start fires. The spring was dryer than most years and hotter as well. The snow is all melted but the spring growth or greenery is not up much yet. The forest bed of dry leaves, twigs and pine needles is all exposed. If you every lit pine needles on fire, you will know they go up almost like gasoline. It is not climate change but more like the setup in April/May was for a perfect storm. There was not a lot of lightning storms in the period so humans are to blame. Let's look at the data. First some historic data. The chart below shows fires declining since the 1995 peak. So they have not been rising as the climate scammers claim.
The well respected Frazer Institute did a study Trends in Canadian Forest Fires, 1959 – 2019 and their data refutes the climate change propaganda. Here is a couple quotes from that report.
“However, a closer inspection of the data show that there was a sharp increase in destruction caused by forest fires in the first half of this period, and a general decline in the second half. The all-time peak of fire activity in 1989 involved some 7.6 million hectares burned, while the most recent national data show only 1.8 million hectares burned in 2019.
If we rank the years during this period according to area burned, the six worst years all occur prior to the year 2000. This underscores the point that over the past three decades, there has been a declining trend in numbers of fires and the total area burned at the national level in Canada, a pattern consistent with that observed globally.”
Canada Natural Resources produces a daily fire danger map. This map below is from mid May, around the period when a lot of fires began. You can see that most of Canada had a fire danger of high to extreme. As I sad the perfect storm of conditions.
Now compare above to the same map a year ago (below) and you can see the huge difference.
This is the map for today, June 9th and we are not out of the woods yet (pun intended). The risk has increased in Ontario and northern Quebec.
The fire danger conditions are abnormally bad this year but so is something else.
Of Canada’s approximately 6,000 annual fires, just over half are started by people (most by accident), and just under half by lightning. The BC government says 60% of their forest fires are caused by lightning and 40% by humans.
So some other data that backs my estimate of 60% started by humans, about half give or take depending where and when you look at the data.
I have saw videos showing a bunch of fires starting in Quebec at the same time and the conclusion is that it must be arson by humans. This is not true, the majority in this case were lightning because of storms going through the whole area. You can go to a Quebec government web site and click in each fire to see the cause.
However in Alberta it is far different as it is practically all human. Here is the data from the Alberta government and if the current trend continues for the 52% still under investigation, then over 95% of the fires are caused by humans. And there is way too many to be accidental, Arson is at play here for sure and authorities agree.
Moreover, on Wednesday, Parkland County’s Twitter account said that 4 fires in five days were suspicious. “We need your help! Our firefighters have responded to 4 fires in 5 days that appear to be intentionally set, north of Hwy 16 between Rge Rd 30 and Rge Rd 32,” the account said.
It added: “We are asking residents to report any suspicious behaviour to RCMP by calling 9-1-1. There is a full fire ban on.”
Charges were laid on an Alberta man for 10 fires. Two years ago, a different woman was charged with 32 counts of arson in central and northern Alberta. Police charged Audrey Elaine Dunham after an “in-depth investigation into a series of suspicious wildfires in the Bonnyville and Lac La Biche areas.”
Some speculate that far left climate activists started a lot of the Alberta fires to try and sway the May election in favour of the NDP party. Very possible as these activist are some of the most radical people in the world. I have followed the 'Just Stop Oil' movement in the UK, very radical, it's like they will stop at nothing. These activists may be trying to curtail gas&oil production with these fires. Many are crazy radicals.
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says her government will bring in arson investigators from outside Alberta to trace the cause of wildfires that have been plaguing the province of late.
“I’m very concerned that there are arsonists,” Smith told podcast host Ryan Jespersen on June 8. “And there have been stories as well that we’re investigating, and we’re bringing in arson investigators from outside the province.”
Smith said there are almost 175 wildfires in Alberta with no known cause at this point. ‘To have 175 fires that we don’t know the cause of—that’s unusual.”
We are at war and perhaps our adversaries are behind some of this. In Canada we are learning the Chinese interfered in the last two federal elections. Are they involved here? What we know is the Chinese prefer far left woke governments that they see will weaken our nations.
