Climate Scam, Greenbriar GRB, Jackpot JJ, and BFG
My take supported by facts is that there is climate change and always will be, but it is not caused by carbon from using fossil fuels. It is far larger factors like changes of earth in the solar system to the sun, ocean currents, volcanoes and changes/movement in the biggest green house gas, water vapour which we see most often as clouds.
Mother Nature is the whole earth and solar system, while man and their carbon are just ants in this picture and you cannot even see the ants.
How can anyone believe that carbon going from 0.03% to 0.04% in the atmosphere is going to be the game changer?
Earth's atmosphere contains about 78 percent nitrogen, 21 percent oxygen and 0.9 percent argon. The remaining 0.1 percent consists of carbon dioxide, nitrous oxides, methane, ozone and water vapour.
However, water vapour can very greatly in different locations. It is not in the upper atmosphere so why it's overall percentage is low, but it is a huge influence in the lower atmosphere. A lot is based on temperature as water vapour will only be about 0.2% in cold Arctic regions and 4% in the warmest tropical air. More locally it can go much higher and depending on temperature, when ever you get to 100% humidity the vapour turns to water (rain).
The humidity level has many variables like temperature, air pressure, elevation and more. Suffice to say vapour content can be much higher that 4% under many conditions. To the point -
Water vapour, not carbon dioxide, is the Earth's most critical greenhouse gas. Besides the Sun, water vapour ranks as the second source of Earth's warmth, accounting for about 60 percent of the warming effect. Water vapour captures and holds warmth from the ground and carries that warmth into the atmosphere. Water vapour moves heat from the equator toward the poles, distributing heat across the globe.
As the water vapour rises, it eventually reaches levels where the atmosphere is less dense and the air colder. As the heat energy of the water vapour is lost to the surrounding colder air, the water vapour condenses. When enough water vapour condenses, clouds form. Clouds reflect sunlight, helping cool the Earth's surface.
Did you know:
All the computer models used by these climate activists do not consider any clouds, they all assume a perfect clear sky. There is no way these can be accurate and is why they cannot even back test in time accurately.
No estimate of global temperature is possible without including the oceans, which cover 70% of the planet’s surface. However there was very few measurements in the 19th century (they threw buckets over ships for samples), until satellites and more ocean buoys became about. around 1990. How accurate are old measurements?
Most land based weather stations have been moved one or more times that can cause a change in temperature readings.
Most US based temperature recordings are in parking lots, on buildings, against brick walls, or in other artificial environments that would create a higher temperature.
In 1981, for example, NASA relied on only a few hundred land stations almost entirely in the Northern Hemisphere to estimate global temperatures. Their temperature record did not even use any sea surface temperature data until the 1990s.
NOAA states, and it has recorded more than 100 years of daily maximum and minimum temperatures from stations across the United States. The problem, say experts, is that about 1/3 of these stations don’t exist anymore, so they make up guesstimates for them.
Temperature adjustments increased the overall land temperature warming by 16% between 1880 and 2016.
In an unusual twist, the largest volcanic eruption of the 21st century so far, the 2022 eruption of Tonga’s Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai, is having a warming and not cooling effect. Yup folks it spewed massive amounts of water vapour in the atmosphere that will take years to dissipate.
“CO2 does not cause global warming. Global warming causes more CO2,” said Edwin Berry, a theoretical physicist and certified consulting meteorologist. He called Royal Society’s position on CO2 “pure junk science.”
The flaws are so significant that they make the temperature data—and the models based on it—essentially useless or worse, three independent scientists with the Center for Environmental Research and Earth Sciences (CERES) explained.
Once you understand that the climate change from carbon narrative is really about new laws, taxation and wealth distribution it makes more sense.
An absolute MUST-WATCH!” Wide Awake Media posted on X while linking to the movie, which features an elite list of scientists, including Nobel Laureate John Clauser, Richard Lindzen, emeritus professor of meteorology at MIT, and Steven Koonin, a theoretical physicist and professor at NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering.
Perhaps you heard of climate activists defacing Stonehenge in England. What has that got to do with the environment. You might have heard of the activist group 'Just Stop Oil'. They have been very radical and violent.
Many charges have been laid against arsonists that started forest fires in Canada last year, see here and here. It wasn't a record for forest fires but a record for arsonists. To be clear the majority of fires were caused by lightning but it was a record amount by arsonists. How many were not caught?
A lot of these climate activists are extremists and are out to stop everything. They don't want any mines or oil&gas development. They are against all kinds of development if they think it could cause more carbon. Water pollution is another thing they dwell on.
Speaking of water, fighting and lawsuits about water in California is a daily occurrence.
Greenbriar Sustainable - - TSX:GRB, OTC:GEBRF - - - Recent Price -C$0.58
Entry Price $1.15 - - - - - - Opinion – strong buy, average down to $0.77
I have a strong buy because of the price and chart and knowing the delay at Sage Ranch is only temporary.
Greenbriar's Sage Ranch is being delayed because a judge ruled that the City of Tehachapi has to correct/update the WSA. There is plenty of water, this is simply technical red tape and another typical water argument in California.
Some background info
Water Supply Assessment (WSA) became a law (requirement) in California in 2002, to determine water supply sufficiency for a 20-year projection in addition to the demand of existing and other planned future uses.
Tehachapi-Cummings County Water District (TCCWD) is located in the Tehachapi Mountains, east of the Southern San Joaquin Valley and encompasses approximately 266,000 acres. TCCWD provides an imported water supply, water resource management and flood protection to the public. The local groundwater supply is located in three basins, which are the Brite, Cummings and Tehachapi Basins. The District imports State Water Project water from the California Aqueduct.
The Water District is not a land planning agency. Only Cities and Counties can entitle and permit homes.
There is plenty of water available to develop Sage Ranch. That is not an issue, so what they went after and the judge ruled on was they requested clarifications and updates in the WSA . This probably has nothing to do with climate activists but just another California fight over water. The City tried to get more water from the TCCWD which is likely why the TCCWD filed the case.
Water Supply clarified in a Greenbriar press release
Regarding the supply side, the total city supply is net 2,480 Acre-feet of adjudicated basin pumping water rights comprised of 1,974 net pumping Acre Feet of 100% city owned deeded adjudicated basin water rights at the end of the year, plus an additional 506 Acre Feet of adjudicated deeded basin water rights in the form of leases for a total annual supply of 2,480 net pumping adjudicated Acre Feet.
The city's difference between supply and consumption is a surplus of 770 net pumping Acre Feet per year of adjudicated basin rights.
This does not include the city's legal rights to obtain an additional 1,152 Acre Feet per year of surface water from the State Water Project.
With respect to the city commissioned WSA, the independent professional engineers who wrote the report state that the project will consume a total of 350 net Acre Feet when fully built. The WSA further states that an average new Sage Ranch unit will consume 0.13 Acre feet per person versus 0.22 Acre Feet per person for the historical average consumption in the region. This is a consumption reduction of 59%, which validates the "sustainability" in Sustainable Housing.
Greenbriar has 175 net Acre Feet owned both by Greenbriar and legally committed from its shareholders, and only needs net 175 Acre Feet from the City. The city has a surplus of 770 net Acre Feet. The above is public information.
The water rights for Sage Ranch, the entitlement of Sage Ranch, the approval of Sage Ranch by the City Council, the approval of the Precise Development Plan (PDP), and the application for the Voya construction loan are all not related to the TCCWD vs City of Tehachapi lawsuit. However, the city has to update the WSA for things to proceed. Voya's investment committee approved the loan on May 3, 2024 subject to the rewrite of the water report.
The stock has come down on low volume as retail traders got discouraged by the delay. Early July holiday time, the stock bounced off $0.53 on higher than recent volume. Every time in the past 10 years when the stock went this low, it soon saw a significant rally. The rallies have been between 200% and 800%. I believe this will repeat again, driven by a Sage Ranch start up. I am suggesting to average down to $0.77 by investing an equal $ amount here as at $1.15.
