The meme stock called Gamestop has popped in price and is very volatile only because a blogger known as 'Roaring Kitty' has returned with a few posts after a long hiatus. Retail investors have piled in head over heals and their foolish and highly speculative bets have given us a sure way to make good $$ by August or sooner.
Gamestop - - - NYS:GME - - - - Recent Price $29.80
Buy the stock and write covered calls and use some proceeds to but Put Options for down side protection and profit with the spread. Retail investor demand has created crazy premiums on the stock options.
You can buy the stock around $30 and write or sell covered August 16, $30 Calls and that will pocket you about $11.00 per Call (100 shares) Then buy the August 16th $24 Puts for about $6.00. You keep $5
If the stock goes over $30 by August expiry, the stock is called away from you at $30 and the Put is worthless so you make the original $5.
If the stock is between $24 and $30, the Put is worthless, but you still keep the $5 and the stock so you can do it over again.
If the stock drops below $24 and I think the more probable outcome. You will make more on the Put to cover the loss on the stock and still make your $5.00.
Best case is the stock drops below $24 long before expiry and the premium on the Put options will rise and on the Call options fall, so you could close the position with more than a $5 profit. In any case $5 on $30 is a 16.6% return in about 2 months. Pretty good for a risk free investment.

Greenbriar - - - TSXV:GRB, OTC:GEBRF - - - Recent Price C$0.82
Entry Price $1.15 - - - - - Opinion -buy
Greenbriar highlighted water usage and availability from the city of Tehachapi's recent bulletin or public release. I don't know why the stocks is so cheap. Investors seem worried about something or maybe the story is just to good to be true. There certainly is no water issue but whatever with their Sage Ranch housing project, buy the stock now while it is cheap.
With the consumption side, below is the City's total usage for the past five years. (AF = Acre Feet)
Year Water Consumed
2019 1,815 AF
2020 1,934 AF
2021 2,035 AF
2022 1,835 AF
2023 1,710 AF
In fiscal 2023 the city leadership has reduced water consumption by over 300 Acre Feet per year since 2021, which is a 15% total reduction.
Regarding the supply side, the total city supply is 2,480 Acre-feet of adjudicated basin water rights comprised of 1,974 Acre Feet of 100% city owned deeded adjudicated basin water rights at the end of the year, plus an additional 506 Acre Feet of adjudicated deeded basin water rights in the form of leases for a total annual supply of 2,480 Acre Feet.
The city's difference between supply and consumption is a surplus of 770 Acre Feet per year of adjudicated basin rights.
This does not include the city's legal rights to obtain an additional 1,152 Acre Feet per year of surface water from the State Water Project.
Greenbriar has 175 Acre Feet owned both by Greenbriar and legally committed from its shareholders, and only needs 175 Acre Feet from the City. The city has a surplus of 770 Acre Feet.
