Welcome and thank you to all the new smart, savvy and contrian investors who have joined my substack. I am still small here, but unique, so please share, like and subscribe.
Copper hit a new high on Monday and is correcting today. Another copper junior bought out as Silvercorp Metals SVM is buying up Adventus Mining ADZN. Adventus main project near construction stage is their El Domo project in Ecuador. Mining revenues will be 55% copper, 24% gold with the rest zinc and silver. Reserves run about 2% copper and 2.5 g/t gold so a pretty high grade deposit. Their other advanced project, Condor has 2.3 million ounces gold and 93 million pounds copper in the Indicated resource category. It is more dominant in gold with silver. They buyout price is around C$190 million.

Zonte Interview – click here. This is very educational and highlights the strong potential going forward. Terry highlights how K6 system was mineralized and why he expects better grades deeper and more drill intercepts. He compares the early stage of this discovery to a IOCG deposit in Brazil that he expects is a similiar model. Interesting he highlights how bottom of hole 6 touched into the next target K7. I speculate that K6 and K7 may be one big deposit.
I believe there is some time to accumulate stock at these prices before next drilling and with the mining market now into a consolidation or correction from the recent run. Gold is at the first support area and if this does not hold we could go down to around $2200. Technical indicators show gold is not over bought or over sold, so any direction is possible now. Markets don't go straight up.
M&A activity continues Montreal-based G Mining Ventures (TSX: GMIN) is expanding its South American holdings by taking over Reunion Gold’s (TSXV: RGD) Oko West gold project in Guyana in an all-share deal valued at C$875 million ($638m). This values the 4.3 million M&I resource at US$148/ounce. Although there are a lot of deals, the good ones are going between $100 and $150 per ounce.
More main stream analysts are picking up on the real reasons that gold is rising, an inflation hedge, flight to safety with wars, a US$ alternative and the U.S. debt problem. Recently, JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon issued a grim warning for the direction of the U.S. economy, saying he sees the odds of a “soft landing” as far lower than markets are pricing in while sounding the alarm on a possible bout of 1970s’ style stagflation fuelled in part by the Biden administration’s massive deficit spending.
My feeling that markets hold together most of this summer in thin trading and we see a major correction starting in August/September.
Bitcoin BTC – time to buy again with the IBIT etf
Once again, like our first trade, we should have held our position over the weekend, in that case it was a short trade with the BITB etf. However, we still made a profit and now it looks like in the short term, Bitcoin should rally. This is a 5 day chart and you can see that Bitcoin has sold off sharply today. There is support around $60,000 and I plan to buy on a dip a little further down.
Bitcoin long ETF IBIT - - - Recent Price - $34.41 - - - - Buy at $34.30
Our original $10,000 is now $10,796.74 and I will put this into IBIT if it hits our buy price today. If it does not hit our buy price today, I will reevaluate tomorrow.
Max Power - - - - CSE:MAXX, OTC:MAXXF - - - - - - Recent Price - $0.21
Entry Price - $0.47 - - - - - - Opinion – average down to $0.28
I put an alert out on MAXX last November based on potential strong drill results and they just released these results last Friday. Max Power released drill results from their 3 holes at their Wilcox Playa in Arizona. The first hole WP23-01 did not hit much, just 20.8 feet of 663 ppm lithium. Holes 2 and 3 were much better with WP23-02 at 184 feet of 570.8 ppm lithium and WP23-03 at 150 feet of 507.0 ppm lithium.
Each of the first three triangular-spaced drill holes in the northern section of MAX Power’s property, the Discovery Zone covering an area 1,640 feet x 1,640 feet x 2,300 feet, intersected lithium at shallow levels over significant widths, including 15.5 feet grading 774.8 ppm lithium within a broader whole rock interval of 184 feet averaging 570.8 ppm lithium in drill hole two;
The grades are not all that high but it is not real difficult to separate the sand out. When separating the clay fraction from the sand/silt fraction, lithium assays increased markedly, by as much as 47%, assaying up to 1,447 ppm lithium.
The hectorite-saponite mix of lithium in the clays within the sediments at Willcox is amenable to a straightforward separation process as demonstrated by the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in California (“Berkeley Lab”) where samples in the clay fraction from the Discovery Zone also averaged 1,243 ppm lithium through initial testing using a particle size that can be reasonably expected to gravitationally separate in a full-scale commercial mining process.
The results took quite a while and it appears this is because they did the extract analysis separating from the sands and some recovery testing. The next drill holes at Willcox are planned for the southern portion of the Property where the largest and most intense low resistivity anomaly has been detected, overlain by a very low gravity anomaly. I would like to see some higher grades and thicker intersects.
These drill results were not bad, but not that good either. I am expecting better results on the new targets and I believe the stock has put in a bottom around $0.20. It has tested $0.20 several times and volume picked up some, so perhaps some accumulation starting.

I don't know how long the stock will stay at these bargain levels, but I do know the upside is many, many times more than the downside.
